here's the futuristic style painting I promised, after inspired by --- Patlabor. My favorite mobile police manga. the entire process was 7 days long (!) because I was slacking so it was probably 30 minutes per day and I spend about few hours on it yesterday and today. needs to get it out the way to start new things.

Patlabor fans probably do notice that the AV-98 ingram model (Alphonse) is in between of comic version and the anime version. the left (our left) shoulder protector is still the comic version, while the other shoulder is part of the tv series version. there's not much to see for Type-7B/2B Brocken since most of it's part is in shadow. I loved the design for the Brocken as well.

Photoshop CS, hard round brush varied from 2px to 160px the original image size is somewhere around 2000x3144. reference from my book. I tried to paint this on the same layer, but I made a silly mistake of painting the robots first therefore the background must be painted on seperate layer. I got some work in progress in the scrap section as well as the background
